A study published in the European Heart Journal revealed that women who consume foods rich in potassium experience decreased negative effects of salt.
The study focused on women with high salt intake and blood pressure problems. Salt is usually associated with a higher risk of coronary diseases such as heart attack and high blood pressure.
However, after analyzing data regarding the lifestyle, blood pressure readings, and dietary habits of over 13000 women, the researchers discovered that women who consumed foods like bananas, salmon, or avocados had significantly lower blood pressure than others.
It’s important to note that these changes were only observed in women with high salt intake.
